IMPROVE THE STATUS OF THE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IN DISTRICT TANK-USAID
HDO has implemented the project titled “Improve the Status of The Primary Health Care Facilities in District Tank “with the financial assistance of SGAFP-USAID. HDO has carried out a detailed needs assessment study of the 10 health centers. The Health Department, District Tank has also verified these needs. In order to restore the primary health care facilities in the conflict affected district of Tank, HDO proposed to rehabilitate 10 government primary health care units which include one SHC, eight BHUs and one RHC. The buildings of these centers have been renovated besides provision of basic medical equipment for the labor room. Since District Tank is frequented by voltage fluctuation, therefore a voltage regulator has also been installed in each center to protect the medical equipment. To cope with electricity load shedding, particularly during normal deliveries, a petrol generator has been provided to each center. In order to address the issues of selected 10 health centers in different localities, HDO has signed a MoU with Health Department and completed the assigned task with the consultation of health department. Consequent upon the completion of repair work, the medical equipment has been supplied to each center so that the poor patients may get benefit from medical equipment. HDO hired 06 staff members to implement the project. 10 health committee were formed each have 05 members whereas a project steering committee has also been formed comprising of 06 members.
